Yule

Merry Yule!

This is one of my favorite holidays, and as a celebration I give you a poem I wrote a long time ago, entitled: Yule :)

the cold of winter
the darkness of the
night. never ending
cycle seemingly

solstice, moment of
deepest darkness
and then the sun
rises, slowly

the light of day
welcomes the new
born god, his light
warms the earth

the Goddess smiles
in the promise of
warmth, lengthening
days, awaiting summer

The earth prepares
for a new cycle of
creation, growth
a new cycle of life

Well it's now 10pm on a very hot Christmas Eve down here in New Zealand, so before I head off to bed I'd like to take the time to wish you a very Merry Christmas Tamlyn, and a blessed, peaceful and above all happy New Year :).

Warmest Regards,

Steve
